The National Geospatial Advisory Committee has just published "The Changing Geospatial Landscape – A Second Look"There is a lot of good information and reference found within.  And the language included under the Data Accessibility section, beginning on page 9, is very agreeably representative of AGIC and NSGIC advocacy positions.  Since more open data access is a key concept within the 2016 AGIC Committee Work Plans, we might be able to leverage this report in the future.


NSGIC views on National Addressing

Wouldn't it be nice to have a cross-jurisdictional, cross-state, and fully national address file built from the expert work of local custodians?  Of course there are many challenges in getting there.  NSGIC has penned a letter to the National Emergency Number Association (NENA) explaining how some of those challenges could be prevented at the national and Federal levels.  The text of that letter is linked to this article (as .PDF).
