Geospatial Data Act Signed Into Law

The Geospatial Data Act of 2018 passed both the US House of Representatives and US Senate and was signed into law by the President on October 5, 2018.  It will be included as a component of the FAA Reauthorization Act (H.R. 302, P.L. 115-254).  The link below opens the Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC) web page, where the final text of the act can be viewed and any updates or information about the act will be posted.  For an overview about the act and what it is intended to do, read the article "State Geospatial Policy Organization Lauds “Geospatial Data Act” Language Included in FAA Reauthorization Bill."
