Arizona Risk Report Card

According to Climate Central - An independent organization of leading scientists and journalists researching and reporting the facts about our changing climate and its impact on the public; and ICF International - Providing professional services and technology solutions that deliver beneficial impact in areas critical to the world's future, Arizona receives a collective C- grade when evaluated on risk threats surrounding Extreme Heat, Drought, and Wildfires.  They believe Arizona has a lot of work to do. While already taking some action against the threats it faces today from extreme heat, drought, and wildfires, the state has done almost nothing to understand, plan for, and address its future risks.Individually, the report card marks were as follows:

  • Extreme Heat: C+
  • Drought: D+
  • Wildfire: D-
